Overview

Estancia Alicura is located in the northern part of Patagonia, Argentina east of Bariloche. Patagonia conjures up thoughts of exotic adventure and an untouched nature that few are privileged to experience. For centuries, this amazing land of Ice Age-created lakes, Alp-like mountains and unique wildlife was the home Indian tribes. In the late 1800's, Europeans colonized the area with sprawling estancias and charming towns, like Bariloche.  Gauchos still ride horseback over the 200,000 acres of Alicura. But the estancia is hardly old-fashioned; this colonial ranch boasts 19th century charm and 21st century luxury.

Accommodations

Deluxe double occupancy is offered at the estancia.  Each room is very comfortable and well appointed. You might stay at the 4 bedroom main house recently renovated century-old ranch. or in the 3 bedroom guesthouse. Either place you will experience excellent personal service and attention to detail. The Hunt

Variety is the offering at Estancia Alicura! Whether hunting on horseback, ATV, or a 4X4, this is an area rich in wild life. One might call it “Trophy Rich”. This ‘ranch’ is home to some of the finest Red stag, European boar and quail in Argentina.

Typically a Red stag hunt trip will be done on horseback covering several miles per day.  Hunters will locate trophy quality stag from strategic locations, then plan their approach to within comfortable shooting distance.  You will see many stag each day, and your knowledgeable guide will help you through expert instruction to choose the best animal possible. As an added bonus, hunting packages in March and April can be combined with fly fishing on the property or on any one of the regional rivers in this part of  Patagonia. Quail hunting over dogs is also available.
