Overview

Santa Rosa Lodge is operated by River Plate which brings a quarter-century of experience, Santa Rosa was selected as one of two logistically best for superb mixed-bag shooting. There is easy access to an enormous duck population in a variety of marsh, pond and river habitats, and that is coupled with an ever-increasing dove population, and large concentrations of perdiz, over excellent bird dogs. All of this abundance is within a 30-45 minute drive from the lodge!

Accommodations

River Plate refurbished and upgraded the original estancia, which was built in 1890. The estancia offers 8 bedrooms and 7 baths and can comfortably host a group of up to 14 hunters (Double occupancy). There are common areas in which to relax and swap stories. The living room boasts a warm fireplace, and open bar.  Cocktails and snacks are served before dinner, and all meals reflect the typical Argentine fare to tempt your pallet.

Hunting

The hunting at Santa Rosa is a mixed bag offering Duck (in season), dove and Partridge. October through April is spring and summer which are the best dove shooting months. It is no exaggeration to say that you can shoot doves until you are fully exhausted. Each hunter is provided with a swivel seat and two assistants to offer cold drinks, shells, loading guns, counting hits, and picking up birds/shells and care for any of your hunting needs.
