Affiliate Disclosure

Last updated: July 21, 2026

One Outdoors is reader-supported. Some of the links on our guides and reviews are affiliate links, which means we may earn a commission if you click through and make a purchase — at no additional cost to you. The price you pay is exactly the same whether you use our link or go to the retailer directly.

Amazon Associates Program

One Outdoors is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to Amazon.com. As an Amazon Associate, we earn from qualifying purchases.

When you click an Amazon link on this site and buy a product, Amazon pays us a small percentage of the sale. This applies to the product you clicked on as well as most other items you add to your cart during that visit.

How to Identify Affiliate Links

Affiliate links open in a new tab and are tagged with the rel="sponsored nofollow" attribute so search engines and browsers can recognize them as monetized links. Guides that contain affiliate links carry a short disclosure note near the top of the article.

Editorial Independence

Our recommendations are based on independent research, hands-on testing, and field experience — never on commission rates. We recommend gear because we believe it is the right choice for the job, and a product's affiliate payout has no influence on whether or how we feature it. We link to the best option for the reader first; the commission is secondary.

We do not accept payment from manufacturers in exchange for favorable coverage, and a product scoring poorly stays scored poorly. Some products we recommend are not available through any affiliate program at all — we still recommend them when they are the best choice.

Products We Don't Link

Certain categories — most notably firearms — cannot be sold through the affiliate programs we participate in. When we discuss those products we do so purely editorially, with no affiliate link and no commission.
