Accommodations

Accommodations are onboard a 125 ft. luxury yacht, which provides the most highest quality mobile accommodations of any Peacock Bass fishing operation in Brazil’s Amazon. This luxury yacht accommodates up to 22 anglers per expedition (double occupancy) or 14 anglers (single occupancy). Lodging includes 14 staterooms: 1 king b, 2 queen, and 11 twin single beds. Each stateroom has a spacious private bathroom with hot water, its own air-conditioning system, and satellite TV. All areas of the ship have an internal height of 6-1/2 to 7 feet, so no one but the very tallest customer will have to stoop. Equipped with advanced navigation equipment including satellite phone service ($10 per minute), satellite internet service ($10 per MB), digital radar and sonar equipment, pressurized drinking water reservoir, daily laundry and maid service, emergency gear, defibrillator, first aid supplies, and DVD home theater system, you will not miss the comforts of home. The Executive chef serves delicious regional and international cuisine and selected wines at every meal. The cocktail area offers an open bar with Brazilian and International drinks, premium liquors, and top red and white wine selections at no additional cost.

Fishing

In February of 2010, Bill Gassmann fishing with Captain Peacock caught a 28 lb monster Peacock that broke the long standing IGFA All Tackle World Record? Each day of the trip you will have the opportunity to catch 3 species of Peacock Bass with an average of 30 fish per day per boat, including both Royal (barred) and Speckled (Paca) Peacock Bass weighing 25+ pounds and the smaller Butterfly species weighing upwards of 12 lbs. All Tackle World Record Peacock Bass have come from the main channel of the Rio Negro River or within a few miles up its black water tributaries. This is where Captain Peacock fishes and where you have the opportunity to hook up with trophies. These fish are most commonly caught using bait casting and spinning equipment, but fly fishing is quickly becoming the thing. The Rio Negro system supports 2500 different species of fish including Catfish weighing upwards of 300 lbs., Pirarucu weighing 500 lbs. and more, 3 Piranha species, Arowana, and Pacu. You will fish from 17 ½ ft. Tracker Pro Team 175 TXW bass boats (brand new in 2013).
