Fishing

Here you are offered one of the premier fly fishing operations in Patagonia, exploring a vast array of varied waterways and fisheries from the comfort the "floating lodge." From December to March anglers are offered flexibility in choosing fishing areas that are the most productive while leaving the others behind. The fly fishing guides speak English and are highly trained in fly fishing techniques as well as safety. The expedition manager reviews the day´s activities in advance and makes adjustments for the next day’s schedule. Anglers will have the opportunity to fly fish with a variety of different guides throughout the course of the week. You will move into the daily destination either by the on-board helicopter, or gain access via water through Roguejet boats or Zodiac rafts. The fishing area is from Puerto Montt on south to Laguna San Rafael- just northwest of Cochrane. Brown, rainbow and brook trout are targeted in these waters that offer float and wading opportunities. During this trip, you might find: rainbow trout, brown trout, brook trout, steelhead trout, sea run brown trout, land-locked salmon and Chinook. But, keep in mind that the quality of the catch not only depends on climate conditions and your personal expertise, but also on air pressure, temperature, moon and water conditions.
