The Experience
Kamalame Cay is in the Bahamas, but worlds away from Nassau's trendy, resort-lined beaches. Kamalame's utterly private accommodations are tucked into 96-acres of swaying palms and flowering tropical plants. It presents a lush oasis enclosed in three miles of very private, white-sand beach and colorful coral gardens, the warm, turquoise waters just off shore teem with manta ray, parrotfish and blue tangs. Andros Island is home to world-class bonefishing and Kamalame is fortunate to be able to offer two distinct fisheries. Andros is known to have the largest bonefish in the Bahamas. Fish averaging a solid 4 pounds to many in the 9-plus pound class are encountered while even larger bones work the edges of the flats. Seasoned guides using Maverick flats skiffs with poling platforms will meet you each day at the Cay to fish the local waters. Full or half-day guided trips are available.
Imagine waking up to the sounds of the wild, miles away from the nearest cell tower. Here, the focus is entirely on the pursuit and the connection with nature. Our guides are locals with generations of knowledge, ensuring not just success in the field, but a deep understanding of the ecosystem you are visiting.
